Destination Moon: The Apollo 11 Mission

The traveling exhibit created by the Smithsonian Institute in 2017 explored the massive effort to send human beings to the Moon in the 1960s and included the Apollo 11 command module.

The permanent exhibit at the Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh explores the red planet and offers visitors a chance to understand what living on another planet might entail in the future.

The Intrepid and the Enterprise

The aircraft carrier USS Intrepid serves as a floating museum in New York City and includes the original prototype Space Shuttle, named Enterprise in honor of Star Trek, as part of its collection.

The Space Shuttle Endeavour

One of only four remaining shuttles, Endeavour has been on display at the California Science Center in Los Angeles since 2012 and serves as an inspiration for future space exploration.
