Reflections of the Small Screen: Lost
In many ways, the ABC drama Lost acts as a metaphor for the life and struggles that everyone faces but taken to an epic level. Religious and philosophical analogies abound, for instance, as the purpose of ones very existence is argued on an island void of morals and reason. Through the course of six seasons, meanwhile, each of the characters must come to terms with the shortcomings of their past while likewise finding meaning and redemption in their lives – even if they are currently “lost” in the present.
